Guarantee Policy

Your MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Guarantee

MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Ltd. / MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Retail Ltd. uses traditional manufacturing techniques and high-quality materials in everything that we do. Our extensive product testing and quality control along with our customer-focused approach mean that we offer long-lasting guarantees for our furniture range.

Your new MAF Bedrooms and kitchen fitted furniture has the benefit of a manufacturer’s guarantee which
covers the failure of materials purchased for 10 years. Your guarantee will commence 3 days after the completion of your installation and only if you do not owe us any money under the contract.

Once your fitter has reported that your installation is complete, you have 3 days to check over your furniture
to ensure you are happy with everything and to contact us regarding any concerns you may have. Any issues
reported after these 3 days will be accessed under the guarantee terms and once your balance has been
settled under the terms of your contract.

MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Ltd. / MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Retail Ltd. guarantees your furniture against
manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship.

The Guarantee is subject to the following conditions:

• The furniture has been installed by MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Ltd. / MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Retail Ltd. in
the U.K.
• You have properly cared for and used the goods and followed any instructions provided by us, particularly in
the case of gloss and high-sheen furniture.
• The furniture has been used for normal domestic purposes only.
• The guarantee is personal to you and is not transferable.
• The furniture has not been altered, or interfered with, by any other persons not authorised to do so by MAF
Bedrooms & Kitchens Ltd. / MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Retail Ltd.
• Any repair work must be undertaken by MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Ltd. / MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Retail
Ltd. or our appointed agent. This does not include the fitting/replacement of the items listed below which are
not covered under our guarantee.
• Any parts removed during repair works that are subsequently replaced become the property of MAF
Bedrooms & Kitchens Ltd. / MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Retail Ltd.

The guarantee does not cover:
• The guarantee does not apply to natural wear and tear, meaning dents, scratches or normal deterioration
that is caused by regular use.
• The guarantee does not cover any deterioration due to the usual weathering process such as fading, cracking and splitting.
• Natural colour fading caused by prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
• Movement of cabinet/wardrobe infill or worktop caused by natural movement of the house’s structure for
installations over 30 days old. This also includes the settlement of furniture if fitted on top of carpet.
• Fitting of any small item replacements, for example, handles, hanging rails, etc.
• Electrical and light fittings, bulbs mirrors, and glass.
• Door and drawer adjustments and caulking, refitting of drawers removed from drawer runners.
• Accidental damage caused as a result of an unexpected and non-deliberate action.
• If the furniture is required to be removed from the room’s structure the guarantee does not cover redecoration or damage to flooring. This will be the responsibility of the consumer to make good.
• All consumables required to replace faulty parts will be charged for; these include, but are not limited to,
screws, filler, brackets, etc.
• Any fitting issues reported outside of 30 days from the original installation date.

Please note: We shall at our discretion repair, replace or reinstall parts as required. Due to the natural colour
fading on your existing furniture there may be a slight colour variation in any items replaced which is out of
our control.

MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Ltd. / MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Retail Ltd. also offer an aftercare service. For a
cost of £230 per room/visit, a MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Ltd. / MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Retail Ltd. fitter can
carry out any of the following work for you:

• All door and drawer adjustments.
• Replacement of any caulking required.
• Replacement of small items such as shelf pegs, hanging rails or hinge cases.
• Repair of accidental damage (parts are subject to an additional charge).

Please note: MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Ltd. / MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Retail Ltd. cannot be held responsible
for any damage or problems caused if our care instructions have not been followed correctly.

Paint Colours:
It is possible for paint colours to change over time depending on various factors such as exposure to sunlight
and moisture.

Guarantee Claim:
Terms and Conditions to generate a guarantee claim, MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Ltd. / MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Retail Ltd. requires the original proof of purchase.
The product must not have been misused or handled carelessly and must not have been wilfully damaged,
neglected, or used in abnormal conditions.

• The product must not have been modified, altered or transformed in any way and repairs must not have been attempted by anyone other than MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Ltd. / MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Retail Ltd. staff or a MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Ltd. / MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Retail Ltd. authorised installer, or in any way in contrast to MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens advice.
• Appropriate maintenance must have been carried out. MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Ltd. / MAF Bedrooms &
Kitchens Retail Ltd. will not be held responsible for any defects due to the application of any treatment product
other than those recommended by us.
• If a product has to be replaced and that particular product is no longer available, MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens
Ltd. / MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Retail Ltd. reserves the right to use an alternative, similar product.
• The cost of transportation of goods to be repaired or exchanged and the labour required to do this is covered for the first year only.
• Your statutory rights are not affected.

Making a Claim

All claims will be subject to an inspection carried out by MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Ltd. / MAF Bedrooms &
Kitchens Retail Ltd.

Photographic evidence of the issue must be provided to allow MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Ltd. / MAF Bedrooms
& Kitchens Retail Ltd. to confirm the claim is covered under the guarantee. Should you be unable to provide
photos, a £100 non-refundable call-out charge will be payable to MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Ltd. / MAF
Bedrooms & Kitchens Retail Ltd.

Should an inspection be required to assess the validity of a claim, a £100 call-out charge will be payable to MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Ltd. / MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Retail Ltd. who will then confirm the validity of any
claim within 7 working days and should the claim be deemed valid, the £100 call-out charge will be
refunded.

MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Ltd. / MAF Bedrooms & Kitchens Retail Ltd. will aim to rectify all valid claims within 45 days of receipt of the Guarantee Claim.
